Like a page from a visual diary, each work records a specific day: the mood, the place, the season, and the time all enter into the composition, color, and energy of the painting, which is never the same as the previous one.\n\nIn this painting from September 5, a bouquet of flowers with delicate, vibrant petals glows in an intense electric blue, with magenta and fuchsia hearts pulsating at the center of each corolla. The green stems and leaves fan out against the black background, which isolates the flowers as if in a deep night. The brushwork is filamentous and radial, and the contrast between the cool blue and the warm cores creates an almost fluorescent glow. It is one of the most intense and magnetic pages of this part of the series, where the flower becomes its own source of light.\n\nThe A Day of Flowers project began on August 29, 2025, in Honfleur, Normandy, during a road trip, inspired by a book by David Hockney dedicated to the use of the iPad as a painting tool. From that first attempt in front of a tree, while camping, a daily pact was born: one flower a day as a minimal unit of cultivated beauty. Each work is digitally painted and then printed on cotton paper in its original format and hand-framed by the artist, so that the digital re-enters the physical body of the work, restoring materiality, edge, and shadow.\n\nA Day of Flowers is a meditation on time: not abstract time, but time lived and measured in gestures.
