Among the garden's flowers and the Astronaut Women: an experience worth collecting.
In September, the CasaGalleria garden in Rovio, at the foot of Monte Generoso, is transformed. The dahlias are in full bloom: giant yellow flower heads mingle with pink, orange and pure white pompons.
Yuri Catania's works come to life in this vision full of colour. The artist portrays the garden's flowers and merges them with his astronaut women, on an artistic journey that explores the intimate bond between humankind, the universe and the environment around us.

Born in Milan, Italy, in 1975. He has lived and worked in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, since 2013.
Visual artist.
His practice explores the moon, astronauts and nature, in works born where dream meets everyday reality. Every piece, from photography to sculpture, is created and produced by hand in his atelier.

Nature as a creative matrix
Embraced by the slopes of Monte Generoso, the garden frames CasaGalleria as a natural extension of the atelier. Here Silvia, Yuri's creative accomplice and life partner, lovingly tends the flowers and dahlias that will later blossom in the artist's paintings.
This is the wellspring of inspiration, the origin of everything. An intimate dialogue between the daily work of hands in the soil and the force of nature, holding within it the very soul and signature of Yuri Catania.
