Yuri in Wonderland

Yuri in Wonderland is at the heart of Yuri Catania's poetic work: a surreal, mixed-media series where constellations of painted flowers meet space exploration.

Born from the dialogue between man, nature and technology, the series explores the delicate balance between human essence and the digital age, weaving together painting, photography, collage and advanced technologies such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence. The moon that the artist photographs rising above Monte Generoso from his studio in Rovio is the same moon that unites us with the rest of the world: a universal symbol of connection that shortens all distances.

The Astronaut Metaphor

In this surreal universe, the astronaut represents contemporary humanity: isolated by technology (as with our smartphones) and disconnected from the natural world, yet deeply desiring to bridge the gap between the digital and the physical. An invitation to awareness, respect, and renewed commitment to environmental protection.

Pioneering Subjects

The series introduces the iconic Astrogirls and the unprecedented concept of Spatial Maternity, placing the female figure at the center of the lunar narrative. In the works, the flowers cultivated in the CasaGalleria garden, captured by the lens in the stillness of the night, and the Vanessa butterflies become icons of resilience and uniqueness, capable of flourishing with strength and authentic beauty

An Invitation to Dream

Yuri in Wonderland is an immersive journey that invites us to look beyond, to get lost and find ourselves in the infinity of the cosmos. It is a collection that celebrates our innate curiosity for the unknown and awakens the inner child, eager to explore and marvel.

Frequently asked questions

Is it an original or a reproduction?

All artworks at CasaGalleria.ART are originals by Yuri Catania, handmade in the Rovio atelier: unique pieces or numbered and signed limited editions. We do not sell reproductions.

Can I have a photograph in a different size from the one shown?

Yes, but only in a larger size. Write to us with the artwork and the dimensions you would like, and we will prepare a specific quote. The maximum print size is 44 inches (111.76 cm) on the short side. A custom-size print still counts towards the edition of 5.

How much does shipping cost?

In Canton Ticino, delivery is free and made personally by the artist. Elsewhere in Switzerland and abroad (EU and non-EU), the cost depends on the destination and the size of the artwork and is agreed with you before the order is confirmed. You can also collect the artwork from the gallery in Rovio, by appointment.
