The Dahlia Garden

The garden as the origin of the works

The garden is where everything begins.

Here Silvia grows the flowers that become the material of Yuri Catania's work: the dahlias and other flowers the artist has learned to observe, first documenting them through night photography, then rendering them in painting.

Before they reach paper or canvas, the flowers of CasaGalleria.ART are born here, in the soil at the foot of Monte Generoso.

This is a space for regeneration, for encounters and for life outdoors.

The Dahlias

Yuri Catania's signature

Among all the flowers in the garden, dahlias dominate in terms of number, variety, and color intensity.

They are the main subject that reappears in the artist's works, and it is to them that the garden owes its name.

Just like Monet's water lilies in Giverny, Rovio's dahlias are both the cultivated flower and the painted flower: nature entering the studio and becoming an image.

The Seasons

The passing of the seasons

For Silvia, tending to the garden is a constant gesture and an act of love.

Each season brings its colors, shapes, and scents, and the garden becomes the most direct way to intensely experience the passage of time.

Not a static image, but a living reality that changes with the year and dictates the rhythm of work.

The Grottino

The garden as a place of welcome

Just a few minutes from Lugano and little over an hour from Milan, the garden remains a secluded place, accessible only by appointment.

Under the pergola and in the external grottino, CasaGalleria.ART welcomes a selected audience for dinners and gatherings, where art, nature, and conviviality intertwine.

It is a space of wonder where guests leave time behind and indulge in an immersive experience
in dialogue with art, flowers, and the mountains.
