All artworks at CasaGalleria.ART are originals by Yuri Catania, handmade in the Rovio atelier: unique pieces or numbered and signed limited editions. We do not sell reproductions.

For fine art photographs that are not unique pieces, the artist produces a maximum of 5 prints per image, regardless of size: the 5 prints are the total for that subject, not 5 per size. In addition, there are 2 artist's proofs (AP), which Yuri Catania reserves for exhibitions and art fairs and which are not for sale. Each print is numbered and signed and is printed when you order, never in advance: you receive a print made for you. Once the edition is sold out, the image is never printed again. The price shown refers to the print available at the time of purchase.

Yes. Every artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, stating the title, year, technique, dimensions and, for editions, the print number. Keep it with the artwork: it is required for any return.

Unique works are delivered framed, in the frame chosen by the artist for that piece; for works valued above CHF 1,500, the frame is made by Yuri Catania in the atelier.
For editioned photographic prints, we agree on delivery together: rolled in a tube, or mounted on a rigid support and framed. Write to us before or right after ordering and we will explain the options.

Avoid direct sunlight and damp rooms. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth, without detergents. The technical details of each artwork list its materials and support; for specific questions, write to us.

In Canton Ticino, delivery is free and made personally by the artist. Elsewhere in Switzerland and abroad (EU and non-EU), the cost depends on the destination and the size of the artwork and is agreed with you before the order is confirmed. You can also collect the artwork from the gallery in Rovio, by appointment.

Each artwork is prepared and packed individually; editioned photographs are printed when the order is placed. From order confirmation, we take up to two working weeks to prepare the artwork, make its dedicated packaging, arrange delivery or courier shipping and prepare any documents. Transit time is additional and starts from shipment: for international orders it depends on the destination and is communicated on confirmation. For special requirements, please add a note to your order or write to us.

Yes, within 14 days of delivery. Swiss law does not provide a right of withdrawal for distance sales: this is a guarantee we offer our collectors voluntarily. The artwork must be returned undamaged, in its original packaging and with the certificate of authenticity. Return shipping costs are borne by you; we cover the transport insurance for the return. Please write to us before sending it back: the refund is made within 10 working days of receipt and inspection of the artwork.

About the artwork

October 13 appartiene alla collezione A Day of Flowers, il progetto in cui Yuri Catania dipinge un fiore al giorno, ogni giorno dell'anno, in un formato fisso di 50 × 50 cm. Come pagina di un diario visivo, ogni opera registra un giorno preciso: l'umore, il luogo, la stagione e l'ora entrano nella composizione, nel colore e nell'energia del dipinto, che non è mai uguale al precedente. In questo dipinto del 13 ottobre un fitto campo di fiori viola prugna, dal centro nero e dai margini bordati d'arancio, si ripete su tutta la superficie come un motivo. I fiori poggiano su un intreccio di foglie nastriformi blu petrolio, nere e verde brillante, tracciate a colpi lunghi e verticali. Il fondo azzurro uniforme, visibile ai bordi, incornicia la massa vegetale come una stoffa tesa. Il contrasto complementare tra viola e arancio dà vibrazione a ogni corolla. La ripetizione avvicina l'immagine alla carta da parati o al tessuto stampato. Il progetto A Day of Flowers nasce il 29 agosto 2025 a Honfleur, in Normandia, durante un viaggio on the road, ispirato da un libro di David Hockney dedicato all'uso dell'iPad come strumento pittorico. Da quel primo tentativo davanti a un albero, in campeggio, è nato un patto quotidiano: un fiore al giorno come unità minima di bellezza coltivata. Ogni opera è dipinta in digitale e poi stampata su carta cotone nel formato originario e incorniciata a mano dall'artista, così che il digitale rientri nel corpo fisico dell'opera, restituendo materia, bordo e ombra. A Day of Flowers è una meditazione sul tempo: non quello astratto, ma quello vissuto e misurato nei gesti. Stampa calandrata su alluminio dibond 3 mm e incorniciata a mano, con cornice nera o bianca. Dipinta digitalmente con Procreate su iPad; stampata come opera unica.

The artist

Yuri Catania

Swiss-Italian visual artist, born in Milan in 1975, he lives and works in Rovio, in Val Mara, at the foot of Monte Generoso, home to the CasaGalleria.ART gallery-atelier. He studied Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano.

His work combines photography, painting and digital tools in a single language: photographs taken by the artist himself, from the atelier garden to the moon seen through a telescope, are composed, printed, pasted onto concrete and wood supports and repainted with fluorescent acrylics that reveal themselves under ultraviolet light. His main collections – Yuri in Wonderland with the Astro Girl series, A Day of Flowers, Black Flowers Secret Garden and My Generoso – revolve around a constant theme: the relationship between nature, technology and the human gaze, with the Rovio garden and its biodiversity as the starting point.
