All artworks at CasaGalleria.ART are originals by Yuri Catania, handmade in the Rovio atelier: unique pieces or numbered and signed limited editions. We do not sell reproductions.

For fine art photographs that are not unique pieces, the artist produces a maximum of 5 prints per image, regardless of size: the 5 prints are the total for that subject, not 5 per size. In addition, there are 2 artist's proofs (AP), which Yuri Catania reserves for exhibitions and art fairs and which are not for sale. Each print is numbered and signed and is printed when you order, never in advance: you receive a print made for you. Once the edition is sold out, the image is never printed again. The price shown refers to the print available at the time of purchase.

Yes. Every artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, stating the title, year, technique, dimensions and, for editions, the print number. Keep it with the artwork: it is required for any return.

Unique works are delivered framed, in the frame chosen by the artist for that piece; for works valued above CHF 1,500, the frame is made by Yuri Catania in the atelier.
For editioned photographic prints, we agree on delivery together: rolled in a tube, or mounted on a rigid support and framed. Write to us before or right after ordering and we will explain the options.

Avoid direct sunlight and damp rooms. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth, without detergents. The technical details of each artwork list its materials and support; for specific questions, write to us.

In Canton Ticino, delivery is free and made personally by the artist. Elsewhere in Switzerland and abroad (EU and non-EU), the cost depends on the destination and the size of the artwork and is agreed with you before the order is confirmed. You can also collect the artwork from the gallery in Rovio, by appointment.

Each artwork is prepared and packed individually; editioned photographs are printed when the order is placed. From order confirmation, we take up to two working weeks to prepare the artwork, make its dedicated packaging, arrange delivery or courier shipping and prepare any documents. Transit time is additional and starts from shipment: for international orders it depends on the destination and is communicated on confirmation. For special requirements, please add a note to your order or write to us.

Yes, within 14 days of delivery. Swiss law does not provide a right of withdrawal for distance sales: this is a guarantee we offer our collectors voluntarily. The artwork must be returned undamaged, in its original packaging and with the certificate of authenticity. Return shipping costs are borne by you; we cover the transport insurance for the return. Please write to us before sending it back: the refund is made within 10 working days of receipt and inspection of the artwork.

About the artwork

September 6 belongs to the A Day of Flowers collection, the project in which Yuri Catania paints one flower a day, every day of the year, in a fixed 50 × 50 cm format. Like a page from a visual diary, each work records a specific day: mood, place, season and time of day enter the composition, the colour and the energy of the painting, which is never the same as the one before. In this painting from 6 September, a dense expanse of pink and white flowers with feathery petals spreads across the entire surface, dotted with yellow centres that give rhythm to the pattern. The soft green of the foliage filters between the blooms, while the edge darkens into a deep burgundy that contains and concentrates the flowering. Unlike the isolated bouquets of the previous days, the composition here is all-over, with no single centre: the eye loses itself in a close-up meadow, almost a floral carpet. The light, airy brushwork conveys the delicacy of a late-summer bloom. The A Day of Flowers project began on 29 August 2025 in Honfleur, Normandy, during a road trip, inspired by a book by David Hockney on using the iPad as a painting tool. From that first attempt in front of a tree at a campsite, a daily pact was born: one flower a day as the smallest unit of cultivated beauty. Each work is painted digitally, then printed on cotton paper at its original size and hand-framed by the artist, so that the digital returns to the physical body of the work, regaining substance, edge and shadow. A Day of Flowers is a meditation on time: not abstract time, but time lived and measured in gestures. Black or white frame on 3 mm aluminium (colour to be specified per work). Painted digitally with Procreate on iPad; printed as a unique work.

The artist

Yuri Catania

Swiss-Italian visual artist, born in Milan in 1975, he lives and works in Rovio, in Val Mara, at the foot of Monte Generoso, home to the CasaGalleria.ART gallery-atelier. He studied Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano.

His work combines photography, painting and digital tools in a single language: photographs taken by the artist himself, from the atelier garden to the moon seen through a telescope, are composed, printed, pasted onto concrete and wood supports and repainted with fluorescent acrylics that reveal themselves under ultraviolet light. His main collections – Yuri in Wonderland with the Astro Girl series, A Day of Flowers, Black Flowers Secret Garden and My Generoso – revolve around a constant theme: the relationship between nature, technology and the human gaze, with the Rovio garden and its biodiversity as the starting point.
