Contact the galleryIs it an original or a reproduction?
All works at CasaGalleria.ART are originals by Yuri Catania, made by hand in the atelier: unique pieces or numbered and signed limited editions. We do not sell reproductions.
Does the artwork come with a certificate of authenticity?
Yes. Every artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, stating the title, year, technique, dimensions and, for editions, the print number. Keep it with the artwork: it is required for any return.
Is the artwork already framed?
Unique works are delivered framed, in the frame chosen by the artist for that piece; for works valued above CHF 1,500, the frame is made by Yuri Catania in the atelier. For editioned photographic prints, we agree on delivery together: rolled in a tube, or mounted on a rigid support and framed. Write to us before or right after ordering and we will explain the options.
What is the UV torch and what happens in the dark?
Works from the Yuri in Wonderland collection contain UV-fluorescent pigments that are invisible in daylight. In the dark, lit with the UV torch supplied with the artwork, the image reveals a hidden second layer.
How should I care for and clean the artwork?
Avoid direct sunlight and damp rooms. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth, without detergents. The technical details of each artwork list its materials and support; for specific questions, write to us.
Why can't I see the price of some artworks?
Artworks up to CHF 1,500 can be bought directly online. For higher-value works we prefer direct contact: click “Request information” or write to us, and you will receive the price, availability and delivery terms, usually within 48 working hours.
How does an information request work?
Click “Request information” on the artwork's page or write to us mentioning it. We usually reply within 48 working hours with the price, availability and delivery options, with no obligation on your part.
Can I see the artwork in person before deciding?
Yes. The gallery-atelier in Rovio welcomes visitors by appointment: you can see the artwork, visit the atelier and the garden, and talk with the artist. Book a visit from the Contact page.
Can I reserve an artwork while I decide?
Yes. On request, we can reserve an artwork for an agreed period. Write to us and we will explain the terms.
Can I pay in instalments?
We do not offer financing or instalment payments through the online shop. For higher-value artworks, handled directly with CasaGalleria.ART, we normally ask for a 50% deposit on confirmation and the balance on delivery. Other arrangements can be agreed together when the quote is prepared.
Can I see how the artwork would look in my space?
Each artwork page shows the piece to scale in a sample room. If you are considering an artwork, send us a photo of your wall with a reference measurement: we will prepare a to-scale simulation in your space.

About the artwork
“X-Wing Red One in NYC” is a unique work by Yuri Catania (Rovio, Switzerland, 2024) from the They Are Here series. A black-and-white photograph draws the eye down a Manhattan avenue, between skyscraper façades and blurred traffic, to the Empire State Building at the end of the perspective. Above the cars an X-Wing starfighter flies low, followed in the distance by a second craft; from the sides, fluorescent fuchsia acrylic paint cuts across the image in long diagonal strokes, like laser bursts crossing the street. The city stays grey and documentary; the fantastic enters only through colour. Fine art print on paper, overpainted in acrylic, raw edge with back frame. They Are Here is the series of the Yuri in Wonderland collection in which Yuri Catania brings the epic scenes of cinematic pop culture into his street photographs of New York: a short circuit between fiction and reality in which AI image generation becomes a bridge between the artist's childhood dreams and his work as a visual artist and street photographer. Its ideal starting point is the final scene of the film The NeverEnding Story (1984), in which Bastian returns from Fantasia on the back of the luckdragon, flying between the buildings of a great unnamed city, which for the artist has always been New York. Each work is conceived to be experienced. Under the UV torch supplied, hidden colours and details emerge, visible at the same frequency at which insects perceive them on flowers. UV fluorescent pigments: the work reveals itself in the dark with the UV torch supplied with the work. With augmented reality, activated after purchase in the collector's home, the image comes to life when the work is framed with a smartphone, in an experience of sounds and visions created by the artist.

The artist
Yuri Catania
Swiss-Italian visual artist, born in Milan in 1975, he lives and works in Rovio, in Val Mara, at the foot of Monte Generoso, home to the CasaGalleria.ART gallery-atelier. He studied Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano.
His work combines photography, painting and digital tools in a single language: photographs taken by the artist himself, from the atelier garden to the moon seen through a telescope, are composed, printed, pasted onto concrete and wood supports and repainted with fluorescent acrylics that reveal themselves under ultraviolet light. His main collections – Yuri in Wonderland with the Astro Girl series, A Day of Flowers, Black Flowers Secret Garden and My Generoso – revolve around a constant theme: the relationship between nature, technology and the human gaze, with the Rovio garden and its biodiversity as the starting point.
